Kevin Wright is passionate about music and proves it by being practically a one man band. He is a vocalist, singing both lead and harmony. He is a guitarist, playing both lead and rythym on electric or acoustic. He is a bassist and a drummer. Kevin has been performing for 45 plus years and has been privileged to work with some of the best in country music; Bobby Bare, Narvel Felts, Johnny Rodriguez, and Eddy Raven to name a few... Kevin has also been involved with several recording groups. He played locally in and around the Brainerd Lakes area throughout the 1980's and 1990's. He was a member of the Northwind Band, Mississippi, Bob Gatts & Bare Feet, the house band at the Iron Rail Saloon in Brainerd, the Wayne Renn Band, and is a repeat performer at the Lakes Area Bluegrass Festival.

It all started at the ripe old age of 3, as he sang along with the radio and with Hank Williams Sr. recordings that his mother played often. At age 7, his brother, Doug, showed him a few chords on the guitar and away he went. He performed with a band for the first time when age 15. At age 18, he went on the road with his brother's band, "The Midnight Flyers", playing the drums. He later performed with various other bands, filling almost any position necessary. Kevin took first place, at the local level, in the Jimmy Dean/True Value Country Showdown in 1995, which was held at the Blue Goose in Garrison, Mn, & he took second place at the state level.
Kevin and his brother, Doug, were part of an opry style country music show called "The Legends of Country Music", that entertained people in S. Dakota, Missouri, and Arizona. They also performed as a duo, "The Wright Brothers", at various venues. Doug has now retired, but Kevin plays on. He can fill any need you may have for live music; weddings, private parties, clubs, etc. He's even sung cowboy songs around the campfire for a family reunion.
